Charles Gates Dawes (1865-1951) war Finanzier. Von 1897 bis 1902 war er Comptroller for the Currency. Seinen größten Erfolg erlebte er aber mit dem nach ihm benannten Dawes-Plan zur Reorganisation der deutschen Finanzen in den Jahren 1924 bis 1930. Von 1925 bis 1929 war Dawes unter Coolidge Vizepräsident der Vereinigten Staaten. 1925 erhielt er den Nobelpreis. | |||

Something exceptional: although the stock certificate was issued for less than 100 shares, the certificate was actually issued for over 1,000 shares in that the number 1,000 was imprinted. The certificate was issued to Charles G. Dawes, who signed the document on the reverse side. Charles Gates Dawes (1865-1951) was a financier. From 1897 to 1902 he was Comptroller of the Currency. He had his greatest success with the Dawes Plan, the plan named after him involving reorganization of German finances in the years 1924-1930. From 1925 to 1929 Dawes was Vice President of the United States under Coolidge. In 1925 he received the Nobel Prize. | |||
