Der 7,3 Meilen lange North Walsham & Dilham Canal ist der einzige Kanal in der englischen Grafschaft Norfolk. Er wurde 1812 gebaut, 1826 eröffnet und geht von Smallburgh Junction zur Swafield Bridge. Die Kosten für den Bau beliefen sich auf £ 30.000. 1885 wurde der Kanal schließlich für nur £ 600 verkauft. Doch damit nicht genug: Der Anwalt der Gesellschaft brannte mit dem Geld durch. | |||

The 7,3 mile long North Walsham & Dilham Canal is the only canal in the English county of Norfolk. It was built in 1812, opened in 1826, and runs from Smallburgh Junction to Swafield Bridge. The costs for its construction amounted to £ 30,000. Eventually the Canal was sold in 1885 for only £ 600. But that wasnt the end of the story: The companys lawyer ran off with the money. | |||
