History (English) |
The brewery was founded in 1878 and changed its legal structure to a joint-stock company in 1893. It took over the Exportbierbrauerei Rehau, Friedrich Richter & Comp. with all real estate. The company produced bottom-fermenting beers, light beer and dark beer. Specialty of the company were export beers. Especially known was the “Sechser Rehbock“. Shortly after World War II, the brewery stopped beer production. In the following time, the only company sold beers, lemonades and table water which were produced by the major shareholder Exportbierbrauerei Löwenbräu Hof K. Militzer KG. The assets were transferred to the major shareholder Karl Militzer in 1975. |
