The mining union was founded in 1855. It owned 37 hectare in the area of Oberhohendorf and Zwickau. In opposite to other Saxonian mining companies, the union had not to pay one tenth of its revenues to the government. The union had a capital of 388,260 Thalers. Only 85 per cent were paid in until 1860. The union operated the mines Augustus and Hermannschacht. The later one also owned a coking plant. The Steinkohlenwerk Oberhohndorf was bought in 1901. The company bought the shaft of the Oberhohendorfer Forst four years later. In 1907, the liquidation of the company was resolved. |
