Der gesunden, auf eine tatsächliche Produktion gerichteten Unternehmenstätigkeit, widersprach häufig genug die Sucht der Spekulanten nach neuen finanziellen Ausbeutungsobjekten in den okkupierten Ländern. Wilde Finanzspekulationen waren in Paris und in London um die Wende des 20. Jahrhunderts an der Tagesordnung. Zahlreiche Aktiengesellschaften entstanden, deren Papiere an den Börsen Crocodiles genannt und lebhaft gehandelt wurden, während in den Ländern der Krokodile selbst weder nach Gold, noch nach Edelsteinen ernsthaft geschürft wurde. Zahlreiche Syndikate erwarben aber Lizenzen in und unter Wasser und hofften auf das große Geld. Die Franzosen gründeten 1899 die Société Française des Pêcheries de Nacre et Huîtres Perlières um an der Küste von Somalia und Djibouti zu Reichtum zu gelangen. Offensichtlich hatten sie einigen Erfolg, denn unser Papier beweist, dass die englische Konkurrenz aufwachte und (pikanterweise) mit französischer Hilfe nunmehr die Küsten des Roten Meeres, des Golfes von Aden sowie diejenigen des arabischen Meeres auszuplündern versuchten. Offenbar erfolglos, denn es wurde keine einzige Dividende bezahlt. Dekorativer und dabei höchst seltener Non-Valeur-Titel. In der Umrandung stilisierte, geöffnete Muscheln mit Perlen. Die Ecken mit Wellen- und Delphin-Rocaillen, die ebenfalls mit Perlen geschmückt sind. | |||

In many cases the greed of speculators for new financial objects to exploit in the occupied countries opposed a healthy business activity directed at actual productivity. In Paris and London around the turn of the 20th century, wild financial speculations occurred on a daily basis. Many corporations emerged whose papers, called crocodiles, were actively traded at the stock exchanges, whereas in the actual countries of crocodiles nobody seriously dug for gold or precious stones. However, various syndications obtained licenses for in and under water and hoped to hit the jackpot. In 1899 the French founded the Société Française des Pêcheries de Nacre et Huîtres Perlières" in order to accumulate riches on the coasts of Somalia and Djibouti. Obviously they were successful, because our paper proves that the British competition woke up and (interestingly) with French assistance now tried to plunder the coasts of the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the coasts of the Arabic Sea. Apparently to no avail, since not a single dividend was paid. Decorative and at the same time extremely rare non-valeur title. The border displays stylized opened sea shells with pearls. In the corners we see wave and dolphin rocailles that are also adorned with pearls. | |||
