 Die Gesellschaft wurde 1905 ursprünglich als "The Rubber Plantations, Limited" gegründet, 1909 aber umbenannt. Sie besaß in Sri Lanka sowohl gepachtete als auch eigene Plantagen für Kautschuk, Kakao und Tee.
