 Die Geschichte der Londoner Börse reicht bis in die Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts zurück, als der königliche Finanzagent und Berater Thomas Gresham die Royal Exchange auf eigene Kosten gründete. Sie war eine der weltweit ersten Börsen. Ihre Aktien werden noch heute an der Londoner Börse gelistet.

 The history of the London stock exchange goes back into the middle of the 16th century, when the royal finance agent and advisor Thomas Gresham founded the Royal Exchange at his own cost. It was one of the first stock exchanges of the globe. Its shares are still listed today at the London stock exchange.
