Galion ist eine Kleinstadt im US-Bundesstaat Ohio. Trotzdem war sie ein bedeutender Eisenbahnknotenpunkt, an dem sich verschiedene Linien wie z. B. die Cleveland Columbus and Cincinnati Railroad und die Erie Railroad trafen. Dass die Stadt Letzteres erreichte, ist vor allem der Verdienst von Jacob Riblet und seinem Vater Daniel H. Riblet. Sie gewährten der Erie Railroad mittels Verpachtung das Wegerecht auf ihrem Land. Crestline, Ohio, ist eine kleine Ortschaft ca. 5 Meilen nordöstlich von Galion. Sie wurde als weiterer Eisenbahnknotenpunkt konstruiert und war zudem die Endstation der Ohio and Pennsylvania Railroad. Vermutlich war dies der Grund, warum Jacob Riblet im Jahr 1855 letztlich auch eine Aktie der Gesellschaft erwarb. Drei Jahre später verkaufte er sie dann an seinen jüngeren Bruder David Riblet. | |||

Galion is a small city in Ohio, but an important rail centre. Several lines like Cleveland Columbus and Cincinnati Railroad as well as the Erie Railroad ran through the town. Bringing the latter one to town was merit of Jacob Riblet and his father Daniel H. Riblet as their land was allotted by conditional deeds or leases for this railroads' right of way. Crestline, Ohio, is a small village about 5 miles north-east of Galion. It was constructed to be another important rail centre with another several lines crossing here, further it was terminal station of the Ohio and Pennsylvania Railroad. That's most probably the reason why Jacob Riblet bought one share of this company in 1855, anyway he sold it to his younger brother David Riblet in 1858. | |||
