 Das Papier ist die bekannteste amerikanische Anleihe, hier ausgegeben durch den Bundesstaat Connecticut. Sie diente in hohem Maße dem Aufbau des amerikanischen Staatswesens und zeigt erstmals auch das Wappen des jungen Staates! Mit Originalsignatur des damaligen Finanzministers William Imlay.

 The paper is the best-known American bond, distributed in this case through the state of Connecticut. It served to a great extent the construction of the American political system and for the first time displays the coat of arms of the young state! It bears the original signature of William Imlay, the treasury secretary at the time.
