47 Los 537 Marienthaler Land- und Bau-Gesellschaft in Hamburg Hamburg, 1 February 1874, Founder-Interim-Certificate for 5 Shares of 600 Mark, 70 per cent or 2,100 Mark paid in, #5806-10, 32 x 23.1 cm, black on purple paper, coupons, horizontal fold, otherwise EF, exactly this certificate was auctioned at the 18th auc- tion of the auction house Tschoepe in 1987. In 35 years no further certificate appeared! R12! Marienthal received city rights in 1870 as its population exceeded 10,000. In 1873 Wandsbeck became the administrative seat of the Stor- marn district. With the help of the district, Wandsbeck thwarted the independence of Marienthal and so in 1878 Marienthal was incorpo- rated into Wandsbeck. Marienthal became a district of Wandsbeck, but was allowed to continue to call itself the district of Marienthal and remained a villa suburb. In 1937/38 Wandsbeck and thus also Marienthal came to Hamburg through the Greater Hamburg Act. In 1873, the company contributed to the construction costs of expanding the Wandsbeck line. To do this, she took over bonds. In return, the horse tram accepted that the line would be extended to the Hotel Marienthal. The route led through Schloßstraße to Jüthornstraße, then turned into 2nd Marienstraße and led through 2nd Lindenstraße, Octaviostraße and Parkstraße to the Hotel Marienthal. On May 1, 1874, the line was opened. Later, this route was the last in Hamburg to be operated with horses. Marienthal erhielt 1870 Stadtrechte, da sei- ne Einwohnerzahl über die Marke von 10.000 stieg. 1873 wurde Wandsbeck Ver- waltungssitz des Kreises Stormarn. Wands- beck vereitelte mit Hilfe des Kreises die Ei- genständigkeit Marienthals und so erfolgte 1878 die Eingemeindung Marienthals nach Wandsbeck. Marienthal wurde Wandsbec- ker Stadtteil, durfte sich aber weiter Bezirk Marienthal nennen und blieb Villenvorort. 1937/38 kamen Wandsbeck und damit auch Marienthal durch das Groß-Hamburg- Gesetz zu Hamburg. Die Gesellschaft betei- ligte sich 1873 an den Baukosten des Aus- baus der Wandsbecker Linie. Dazu über- nahm sie Obligationen. Im Gegenzug ak- zeptierte die Pferdebahn, dass die Linie bis zum Hotel Marienthal verlängert wird. Die Strecke führte durch die Schloßstraße bis zur Jüthornstraße, dann bog sie in die 2. Marienstraße ab und führte durch die 2. Lindenstraße, Octavio- und Parkstraße bis zum Hotel Marienthal. Am 1. Mai 1874 wurde die Linie eröffnet. Später war diese Strecke die letzte in Hamburg, die mit Pfer- den betrieben wurde. Mindestgebot: 1.000 €
