Edmund Cogswell Converse (1849 - 1921) war ein amerikanischer Geschäftsmann, Banker und Vorstand eines Baseballvereins. Als Führungskraft in der Stahlindustrie war er an vielen Zusammenschlüssen beteiligt, die letztlich die amerikanische Stahlindustrie vereint haben. Durch eine anhaltende Zusammenarbeit mit J.P. Morgan wurde Converse der erste President des Bankers Trust. 1884 übernahm er die Leitung der Pittsburgh Alleghenys und führte sie aus der Krise. Im Rahmen seiner vielfältigen philanthropischen Aktivitäten finanzierte er 1912 die erste Stiftungsprofessur an der Harvard Business School.
Edmund Cogswell Converse (1849 - 1921) was an American businessman, banker and baseball executive. Being a steel industry executive, he participated in mergers that unified much of the American steel industry. Continuing an association with J.P. Morgan, he was the first President of Bankers Trust. He was President of the Pittsburgh Alleghenys in their 1884 season. His philanthropic activities included financing the first endowed chair at the Harvard Business School in 1912.
