Thomas Brown Lockwood (1873 - 1947) war in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts einer der angesehensten Persönlichkeiten von Buffalo. Er war Anwalt und Geschäftsmann sowie Philanthrop und Buchliebhaber. Lockwood war der Direktor der Third National Bank und der Federal Telephone Company. Zudem war er Sekretär der Municipal Tuberculosis Commission of Buffalo. Er unterstützte die Lockwood Memorial Library, welche heute die Hauptbibliothek der University at Buffalo ist, durch seine Spenden.
Thomas Brown Lockwood (1873 - 1947) was one of Buffalo's most reputable citizens in the first half of the 20th century. He was an attorney and businessman as well as philanthropist and bibliophile. Lockwood was a director of the Third National Bank and the Federal Telephone Company. Further he was secretary of the Municipal Tuberculosis Commission of Buffalo. Finally he donated funds to construct the Lockwood Memorial Library, today University at Buffalo's main library.
