 Die Gesellschaft betrieb zahlreiche Bahnlinien in der englischen Grafschaft Staffordshire. Chefingenieur war John Robinson McClean. Dieser pachtete die Strecke für 25 Jahre. Er war damit die erste Einzelperson, der eine gesamte Eisenbahnstrecke gehörte.

 The company was operating several lines in and around the area of Staffordshire, England. Chief Engineer was John Robinson McClean, who took a 25-year lease on the railway and became the first person ever to be the sole owner of a railway.
