 Die Gesellschaft wurde bereits 1760 durch den Prinzen Friedrich Wilhelm Eugen, Bruder des Herzogs Ernst Friedrich III. Carl von Sachsen-Hildburghausen, als hochfürstliche Porzellain-Fabrique Closter Veilsdorf gegründet. 1797 kam die Gesellschaft zur Firma Gotthelf Greiner Söhne und 1884 kam es zur Umwandlung in eine AG unter Übernahme der seit 1863 bestehenden Firma Kieser & Heubach. Zweck der Gesellschaft waren die Herstellung von Hochspannungsisolatoren für Freileitungen und Apparate, Bahnisolatoren, Niederspannungsisolatoren und Installationsmaterial. 1906 wurde die Coburger Porzellanfabrik Schönau und Müller übernommen. Großaktionär war die Porzellanfabrik Kahla. Das Werk gehörte später zum Kombinat Keramische Werke Hermsdorf. Nach 1990 wurde das Kombinat mit allen Fertigungsstandorten unter Treuhandverwaltung und zu einer Aktiengesellschaft (Tridelta AG Hermsdorf) mit den Standorten Hermsdorf, Sonneberg und Veilsdorf umgebildet. Das Werk Kloster Veilsdorf, nunmehr GmbH, gehörte von 1992 bis 1996 zur Jenoptik GmbH Jena. Seither ist es im Besitz der Firma Rauschert (Rauschert Kloster Veilsdorf GmbH).
History (English)
 The company was founded as hochfürstliche Porzellain-Fabrique Closter Veilsdorf by the Prince Friedrich Wilhelm Eugen, brother of the Duke Ernst Friedrich III. Carl von Sachsen-Hildburghausen in 1760. It became part of the company Gotthelf Greiner Söhne in 1797. In 1884, it took over the company Kieser & Heubach (founded in 1863) and changed its legal form into a joint-stock company. The company produced high voltage isolators for overhead transmission lines and instruments, railway isolators, low voltage isolators and installation material. In 1906, the company took over the Coburger Porzellanfabrik Schönau und Müller. Major shareholder was the Porzellanfabrik Kahla. The factory became part of the combine Keramische Werke Hermsdorf. After the fall of the iron curtain in 1990, the combine and all its factories became part of a joint-stock company (Tridelta AG Hermsdorf). The company was active in Hermsdorf, Sonneberg and Veilsdorf. The factory Kloster Veilsdorf became a limited company. It was part of the Jenoptik GmbH between 1992 and 1996. It is part of the property of the Rauschert company since 1996 (Rauschert Kloster Veilsdorf GmbH).
