 Das Versicherungsunternehmen wurde 1806 gegründet. 100 Jahre später wurde die Firma von den Rothschilds übernommen und in die 1824 gegründete Alliance Assurance Co. eingebracht.
History (English)
 The insurance company was founded in 1806. In 1906 the Alliance Assurance Co. which belonged to the Rothschilds bought the Provident Institution for Life Insurance and Annuities.
