History (German)
 Lieut Dennis Augustus Hugo Larking trat 1889 in die Navy ein. Er diente im Mittelmeer, Westindien sowie in China und wurde 1898 zum Leutnant ernannt. Larking war Marineattaché in Rom von 1915 bis 1919 und auf dem Balkan von 1939 bis 1941. Bis 1945 diente er dann in der Admiralität.
History (English)
 Lieut Dennis Augustus Hugo Larking entered the Navy in 1889. He served on the Mediterranean, West Indian and China Stations and became a lieutenant in 1898. Larking was Naval Attaché in Rome from 1915 to 1919 and in the Balkans from 1939 to 1941. He was then recalled to the Admiralty until 1945.
