 Die Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft hatte ihren juristischen Sitz im US-Bundesstaat Maine. Im Süden Brasiliens baute sie ein richtiges Eisenbahn-Imperium mit Verbindungen nach Uruguay, Argentinien und Paraguay auf. In der Spitze betrug die Länge des Streckennetzes an die 3.000 km, darüber hinaus wurden mehrere andere Bahngesellschaften kontrolliert.
History (English)
 The company is incorporated under the laws of the State of Maine. It built up a real Railroad Empire with connections to Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay. In the boom years the rail network consisted of about 3,000 km of track, further on the company controlled several other railroad companies.
