History (German)
 Am 4. Juni 1892 gründete David Abercrombie in Manhattan ein Geschäft für Angelzubehör. Er freundete sich im Laufe der Jahre mit dem Manager Ezra Fitch an. Dieser erwarb 1900 schließlich 49 Prozent der Unternehmensanteile und 1904 wurde die Firma in Abercrombie & Fitch Co. umbenannt. 1907 erwarb Fitch sämtliche Anteile der Firma. Heute gehören zu dem Modeunternehmen auch die Marken Abercrombie kids und Hollister.
History (English)
 David Abercrombie founded a shop for fishing equipment in Manhattan on 4 June 1892. He became friends with the manager Ezra Fitch, who bought 49 per cent of the company capital in 1900. The name of the company was changed to Abercrombie & Fitch Co. in 1904. Ezar Fitch bought the remaining stake in the company in 1907. Today, the fashion company owns the trademarks Abercrombie kids and Hollister.
