Antonio Anelli (1795 - 1883), der den Spitznamen El Pitturin trug, war ein vielseitiger Handwerker. Er schnitze Holzstatuen, er war Maler und er verzierte Kerzen und Bilderrahmen. 1836 kam er nach Codogno und wurde dort als Klavierbauer aktiv. Besonders sein Enkel Pietro Anelli (1863 - 1939) erlangte Weltruhm. Er wurde ebenfalls Orgel- und Klavierbauer. 1880 arbeitet er in Genua mit dem englischen Orgelbauer George Trice zusammen, mit dem er Trice, Anelli & Cie. gründete. 1886 baute er die Orgeln von S. Marco in Venedig und S. Fedele in Verona. 1891 kehrte er nach Codogno zurück und beschloss fortan Pianos zu bauen. 1909 verlegte er die Firma nach Cremona und 1918 wandelte er diese in eine Aktiengesellschaft um. 1924 produzierte er vier Pianos am Tag. | |||
History (English) |
Antonio Anellia (1795 – 1883), nickname El Pitturin, was a very versatile craftsman. He sculpted statues of saints in wood, he was a painter, and he decorated and gilded candlesticks and frames. He moved to Codogno in 1836, where he started the production of pianos. Especially his grandson Pietro Anelli gained international fame. He also built organs and pianos. He worked together with the English organ manufacturer George Trice in Genoa in 1880. Together with him he founded Trice, Anelli & Cie. Pietro built the organs in S. Marco in Venice, and S. Fedele in Verona. He returned to Codogno in 1891 and decided to build pianos. The company moved to Cremona in 1908, and it was changed to a joint-stock-company in 1918. He produced four pianos per day in 1924. | |||
