Osselmann als Vorstand sowie von Alfred Colsmann (1873 - 1955) als Aufsichtsrat. Letzterer war Freund und engster Vertrauter von Graf Zeppelin. Als Generaldirektor und Architekt des Zeppelin-Konzerns prägte er die Entwicklung der Zeppelin-Luftschifffahrt entscheidend. R10! | |||

Berlin, 1 October 1928, Share of 1,000 RM, #442, 21 x 29.7 cm, blue, olive, red, minimal vertical fold, minimal dog ear, otherwise EF, unknown until a short while ago, facsimile signature of Graf Zeppelin, most likely Alexander Graf von Brandenstein-Zeppelin (1881 - 1949) the son-in-law of Zeppelin, facsimile signature of Dr. Wilh. Osselmann as Director, and from Alfred Colsmann (1873 - 1955) as member of the supervisory board. Colsmann was a friend and closest confidant of count Zeppelin. As general director and architect of the Zeppelin concern he influenced the development of the Zeppelin business crucial. R10! | |||

1910 ließ Graf Ferdinand von Zeppelin neben den Zeppelin Luftschiff-Fertigungshallen in Berlin Staaken das Gaswerk der Zeppelin-Wasserstoff- und Sauerstoff-Werke AG errichten. Die Gasanstalt diente zur Herstellung des Gases für die Luftschiffe. Sie erhielt einen großen, wasserlosen Gasometer, auf dem ein Leuchtfeuer installiert wurde, um den Zeppelinhafen auch bei Nacht ansteuerbar zu machen. Bald erweiterte die Gesellschaft den Firmenzweck auf die Produktion von Armaturen, Maschinen, Apparaten einschlägiger Art und von Erzeugnissen aus benachbarten Fachgebieten. Ihre Haupterzeugnisse waren jedoch Wasserstoff, Sauerstoff, Azetylen, Karbid und Stahlflaschen. Das Unternehmen war anscheinend auch nach Einstellung der Luftschifffahrt bis weit in den Zweiten Weltkrieg aktiv. Wohl aus militärischen Geheimhaltungsgründen ist jedoch über diese weitere Tätigkeit nichts bekannt. Die Firma zahlte bis mindestens 1942 satte Dividenden und wurde erst nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg liquidiert. | |||

In 1910, Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin established the gasworks of the Zeppelin-Wasserstoff- und Sauerstoff-Werke AG next to the zeppelin airship production hall in Berlin Staaken. The gasworks produced the gas for the airships. It contained a large, waterless gasometer on which a beacon was installed so that the airship station could be accessed at night. The company extended their business objective by the production of fittings, machines, relevant appliances and by products of neighbouring businesses. The major products of the company were hydrogen, oxygen, acetylene, carbide, and steel bottles. The company was apparently even after the stop of airship travel active till far after World War II. Most likely, we know nothing about this time, because of military secrets. The company paid good dividends until at least 1942, and was not liquidated before the end of World War II. | |||
