 Der britische Stahlproduzent entstand 1930 durch den Zusammenschluss der Eisen- und Stahlinteressen der Pearson & Knowles Coal & Iron Company, der Partington Steel & Iron Company und der Wigan Coal & Iron Company. 1951 wurde die Gesellschaft verstaatlicht.
History (English)
 The company was a United Kingdom steel producer. It was formed in 1930 by amalgamating the iron and steel interests of the Pearson & Knowles Coal & Iron Company, the Partington Steel & Iron Company, and the Wigan Coal & Iron Company. The company was nationalised in 1951.
