 Die Gesellschaft wurde 1946 als Pfälzische Gummiwerke GmbH gegründet und 1962 in Pegulan-Werke AG umfirmiert. 1979 übernahm die Firma die Wehra Teppiche und Möbelstoffe GmbH. Es wurden Bodenbeläge sowie Kunststoff- und Keramikartikel hergestellt.
