| Die Gesellschaft wurde 1909 von den Flugpionieren Orville und Wilbur Wright gegründet. Es wurden Flugzeuge produziert. 1912 starb Wilbur Wright an Typhus. Sein Bruder verkaufte die Firma und konzentrierte sich fortan auf die Luftfahrt-Forschung. 1916 fusionierte die Gesellschaft mit Glenn L. Martin & Co., woraus 1923 Wright-Martin & Co. entstand. Später wurde die Firma von General Motors und dann von Consolidated Aircraft übernommen. | ||||
| The company was founded by the aviation pioneers Orville and Wilbur Wright in 1909. It manufactured airplanes. In 1912, Wilbur Wright died of typhoid fever. His brother sold the company and focussed on aeronautical research. The company merged in 1916 with Glenn L. Martin & Co., which became Wright-Martin & Co. in 1923. General Motors Corporation purchased the company, and it was later sold to Consolidated Aircraft. | ||||
