 1873 charterte die Central Pacific Coal & Coke Co., Ltd. die San Pete Valley Railroad, um ihre Minen in Utah zu entwickeln. 1882 betrieb man die Linie bis Wales, wo die Minengesellschaft an die 10.000 Morgen Land besaß.

 In 1873, the Central Pacific Coal & Coke Co., Ltd. chartered the San Pete Valley Railroad to develop its mining properties in Utah. In 1882, the line was finally operated towards Wales, where the mining company had about 10,000 acres of coal land.
