Alle italienischen Vorgründerstaaten (das heutige Italien entstand erst 1861 und 1870) und hier vor allem die Kirche, hatten großen Finanzbedarf. Dabei machte die Toskana mit ihrer Hauptstadt Florenz keine Ausnahme. Bei der von der Stadt und der Kirche von Florenz (Monte de Pietá) ausgegebenen Anleihe ist neben dem geschichtlichen Hintergrund und dem Alter auch ihre Gestaltung interessant. Im mittleren Teil des Zertifikates ist das Wappen der Medici zu sehen, rechts und links Brotsymbole. Die Medici waren durch Bankgeschäfte reich geworden und erlangten 1434, zunächst ohne Fürstentitel, die Herrschaft über Florenz. 1531 wurden sie Herzöge von Florenz und 1569 Großherzöge der Toskana. So wurden sie schließlich zur reichsten und politisch bedeutendsten florentinischen Familie. Der Name Medici wurde zu einem Synonym für ungeheueren Reichtum. Die fast 300 Jahre alte Anleihe ist auf Tierhaut gedruckt worden. Das papiergedeckte Siegel ist vollständig erhalten. | |||

All the original Italian nations (the present Italy only emerged in 1861 and 1870) and in particular the Church had big financial needs. Tuscany with its capital Florence was no exception. in this bond distributed by the town and the church of Florence (Monte de Pietà), besides the historical background and the age also the design is interesting. In the center part of the certificate we see the coat of arms of the Medici, to the left and right bread symbols. The Medici had become wealthy through banking activities and in 1434 obtained governance of Florence, at first without a sovereign title. In 1531 they became dukes of Florence and in 1569 grand dukes of Tuscany. Thus they finally grew into the wealthiest and politically most influential family in Florence. The name Medici became synonymous with enormous wealth. The almost 300 years old bond was printed on hide. The paper-covered seal remains completely intact. | |||
