 Die Port of London Authority (PLA) ist eine eigenfinanzierte öffentlich-rechtliche Stiftung, die 1908 durch den sogenannten "The Port of London Act 1908" eingerichtet wurde. Sie kümmert sich um Betrieb, Instandhaltung und Sicherheit rund um den Hafen von London.
Geschichte (Englisch)
 The Port of London Authority (PLA) is a self-funding public trust established by The Port of London Act 1908. Its responsibility extends over the Tideway of the River Thames and its continuation, the Kent/Essex strait. PLA maintains and supervises navigation around the Port of London and protects the river's environment.
