Geschichte
 1922 gründeten William Lyons und William Wamsley in Blackpool die Firma Swallow Sidecars, die zunächst Motorradbeiwagen herstellte. Ab 1927 wurden dann komplette, sportlich-elegante Karosserien produziert. Mit der Zeit begann man auch Autos zu bauen, und Jaguar wurde nach und nach zur Marke. 1989 wurde Jaguar von der Ford Motor Company übernommen, 2008 schließlich zusammen mit Land Rover an die indische Tata Motors verkauft.
Geschichte (Englisch)
 William Lyons and William Wamsley founded in Blackpool the company Swallow Sidecars in 1922. This company manufactured sidecars. The company started the production of complete, sportive and elegant coachwork in 1927. During the years the company started the production of cars and the Jaguar became a brand. Ford Motor Company took over Jaguar in 1989. Together with Land Rover the brand was sold to the Indian car manufacturer Tata Motors.
