Geschichte
 Walt Disney (1901 - 1966) versuchte sich 1922 an seinem ersten Zeichentrickfilm. Ein Jahr darauf gründete er die Disney Brother Studios. 1953 wollte er nach dem Vorbild des Kopenhagener Tivoli-Gartens Disneyland bauen. Sein Bruder Roy ging davon aus, dass die Aktionäre so etwas Spekulatives nicht mittragen würden, weshalb Walt die Firma Walt Disney gründete. Im Zuge der Übernahme von Infoseek.com durch Walt Disney Ende 1999 entstand Go.com. Bereits 2001 offerierte Walt Disney den Tausch der Go.com-Aktien in Disney-Papiere.
Geschichte (Englisch)
 Walt Disney (1901 - 1966) made his first trickfilm in 1922. One year later, he founded the Disney Brother Studios. In 1953, Disney planed following the Copenhagens Tivoli Garden. Walt's brother Roy thought that the shareholders will not accept such a speculative investment. This was the reason why Walt Disney Company was founded. Infoseek.com was taken over by Walt Disney in 1999, this let to the creation of Go.com. Disney offered the Go.com shareholders an exchange into Disney-shares in 2001.
