 Die Gesellschaft wurde 1990 von Bernard Goldstein als Kana Corporation gegründet. Nach Umfirmierungen in Anubis II Corporation und Casino America, Inc. nannte sich die Firma ab September 1998 Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. Das erste Casino wurde am 1. August 1992 eröffnet. Goldstein wird auch als der Großvater der Flussschiff-Casinos bezeichnet. Er besaß das erste Flussschiff-Casino auf dem Mississippi. In der Blütezeit kamen rund 13 Millionen Besucher jährlich in die 15 Casinos, die sich auf sieben US-Bundesstaaten verteilt haben.
