 Die Gesellschaft wurde 1890 ins Leben gerufen, um ein Hotel am Cap Martin zu erwerben. Die zugehörige Gemeinde liegt zwischen dem französischen Menton und Monaco. Die Region entlang der Côte d'Azur war also schon seinerzeit eine beliebte und auch exklusive Wohngegend.
