Historie (Německo)
 Justin G. Sholes war President der Ohio Chemical and Manufacturing Company, die im Bereich der Reinigung und Aufbereitung diverser Gase aktiv war und zudem Narkosemittel herstellte. Seit der Gründung im Jahr 1910 produzierte das Unternehmen eines der ersten Anästhesiegasgeräte namens "The Ohio Monovalve", das im Ersten Weltkrieg sehr extensiv eingesetzt wurde. Nach dem Kauf durch die Air Reduction Company im Jahr 1940 wurde es deren Tochtergesellschaft.

 Justin G. Sholes was President of the Ohio Chemical and Manufacturing Company, active in the preparation and purification of several gases and producer of gaseous and other anaesthetics. Founded in 1910, the company began manufacturing one of the first anaesthesia gas machines ("The Ohio Monovalve"), which was used extensively during World War I. After being purchased by the Air Reduction Company in 1940, it became its subsidiary.
