 Der Softdrink Pepsi wurde 1898 von Caleb Bradham, einem Pharmazeuten und Geschäftsmann aus Dublin County, North Carolina, entwickelt. Als sein Getränk immer populärer wurde, gründete er 1902 die Pepsi-Cola Company und reichte ein Jahr später das Patent ein. 1919 wurde die Firma in eine Aktiengesellschaft umgewandelt. 1965 fusionierte die Gesellschaft mit Frito-Lay zu PepsiCo.

 The soft drink Pepsi was developed by Caleb Bradham, a pharmacist and businessman from Duplin County, North Carolina, in 1898. As his drink gained popularity, Bradham founded the Pepsi-Cola Company in 1902 and registered a patent for his recipe in 1903. The company was incorporated in 1919.
