 Die Gesellschaft wurde 1907 von Joseph Berry durch Verschmelzung seiner zahlreichen Firmen gegründet. Später wurde die Gesellschaft als Northern Iron & Chemical Co. reorganisiert. Die Gesellschaft ging in der Charcoal Iron Co. of America auf.

 The company was incorporated by Joseph Berry by merger of serveral companies owned by him in 1907. It was reorganized as Northern Iron & Chemical Co. later, and became part of Charcoal Iron Co. of America.
