 Die Reederei wurde 1917 gegründet. Sie betrieb eine der wichtigsten Passagierlinien an der Ostküste und verkehrte zwischen Portland (Maine) und Miami (Florida). 1962 wurde die Firma dann als Eastern Steamship reorganisiert.
