 Die in London gegründete Gesellschaft baute und betrieb eine 156 Meilen lange Strecke von Dondo (Anschluss an die Beira Eisenbahn) nach Murraça südlich des Sambesi. 1922 wurde die Strecke eröffnet. Ziel war der Anschluss an die Central African Railway. Damit konnten die landwirtschaftlichen Erzeugnisse aus dem heutigen Malawi zum Hafen von Beira transportiert werden.

 The company was incorporated in London. It built and operated a 156 miles long railway line from Dondo (connection to the Beira Railway) to Murraça southern of the river Sambesi. The line was opened in 1922. The goal was the connection to the Central African Railway, which enabled the transport of agricultural goods from what is nowadays Malawi to the port of Beira.
