Die Gesellschaft wurde 1851 als Syracuse and Binghampton Railroad gegründet. 1854 wurde die Linie von Geddes nach Binghampton im Bundesstaat New York fertig gestellt. In der Folgezeit ging die Bahn pleite und wurde unter obigem Namen reorganisiert. 1869 gelangte die Linie unter Kontrolle der Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad Company. | |||

The company was founded as Syracuse and Binghampton Railroad. In 1854 the line from Geddes to Binghamton, New York was opened. After the company failed, it was reorganised as Syracuse, Binghamton and New York Rail Road Company. In 1869 the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad Company took over control. | |||
