Storia (Tedesco)
 Bereits 1840 gründete Sir Samuel Cunard (1787-1865) die British and North American Royal Mail Steam Packet Company. Es entstand eine regelmäßige Dampfschiffsverbindung zwischen Europa und Nordamerika. 1878 wurde dann die Cunard Steam-Ship Company in Liverpool gegründet. Die Nordamerika-Flotte der Cunard Steam-Ship Company fusionierte 1932 mit der White Star Line Limited (Reederei der Titanic) zur Cunard-White Star Limited. Die Mittelmeerflotte blieb weiter bei der Cunard Steam-Ship Company. 1971 wurde die Firma von der Trafalgar House PLC übernommen. Seit 1998 gehört die Firma zur Carnival Corporation.

 Already in 1840 Sir Samuel Cunard (1787-1865) founded the British and North American Royal Mail Steam Packet Company. He offered a regular steam-ship line between Europe and North America. In 1878 the Cunard Steam-Ship Company was founded in Liverpool. In 1932 the North-America Lines of Cunard merged with the White Star Line Limited (owner of the Titanic) to form Cunard-White Star Limited. The Mediterranean Lines remained at Cunard Steam-Ship Company. In 1971 the company was taken over by Trafalgar House PLC. The company is part of the Carnival Corporation since 1998.
