 Diese Schifffahrtslinie wurde von der Northern Pacific Railroad gegründet. Ziel war es, Waren auf die Schiene zu bekommen. Die Schiffe verkehrten von Seattle aus durch den Puget Sound und an Vancouver Island vorbei bis hoch nach Alaska.

 The shipping company was incorporated by the Northern Pacific Railroad Company. The goal of the Northern Pacific was to get goods for their railroads. The ship route was from Seattle through Puget Sound and passing Vancouver Island to Alaska.
