Storia (Tedesco)
 1849 eröffnete Henry Charles Harrods an der Londoner Brompton Road einen kleinen Kolonialwarenladen. Der riesige Einkaufspalast mit spanischer Schlossfasade entstand dann um die Jahrhundertwende. 1985 legte der ägyptische Baumwollkönig Al Fayed umgerechnet mehr als eine Milliarde Euro auf den Tisch um das „Kaufhaus der Königin“ zu erwerben.

 In 1849 Henry Charles Harrods opened a small colonial wares store on Brompton Road in London. The humungous shopping palace with its Spanish façade emerged around the turn of the century. In 1985 the Egyptian cotton king Al Fayed put the equivalent of more than one billion euros on the table in order to purchase “the Queen’s department store”.
