 1923 gründete Josef Schilling das Josef Schilling Bankgeschäft Hammelburg. Diese wurde 1959 in Bank Schilling & Co. umfirmiert und firmierte fortan an als oHG. 1996 erfolgte die Umwandlung in eine Aktiengesellschaft. Die Privatbank ist heute noch aktiv.
