The club was formed on 20 October 1865. It was a German Club which was located in the house of Mr. Probst, south side of Foochow Road, between Fukien and Shantung Roads. The Chinese called the club “deguo julebu” (Germany Club). The Concordia Club house was built in 1904 in a Neo-Renaissance style. In the building of the club were the lessons of the German School held, in the time after World War I. The magnificent building of the club became the headquarters of the Bank of China in 1928. All Germans who lived in China between 1939 and 1945 became compulsory member of the Club Concordia. Der Club wurde am 28. Oktober 1865 gegründet. Es war ein Deutscher Club, der sich im Haus von Herrn Probst befand und an der südlichen Seite der Foochow Road, zwischen der Fukien und Shantung Road befand. Die Chinesen nannten den Club „deguo julebu“ (Deutschland Club). Das Clubhaus des Club Concorida wurde 1904 im Stil der Neorenaissance errichtet. In der Zeit nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg fand in den Räumlichkeiten der Unterricht der Deutschen Schule statt. Das prächtige Gebäude des Clubs wurde 1928 zum Sitz der Bank of China. Alle Deutschen, die sich von 1939 bis 1945 in Chi- na aufhielten und registriert waren, wurden in dieser Zeit Zwangs- mitglieder des Clubs Concordia.
