Cologne, 18 September 1862, Founder’s share of 200 Thaler Prussian Courant, Lit. B, #469, 26.8 x 39.8 cm, khaki, black, vertical fold, 1 cm tear, otherwise EF, coupons, issued to Joseph Wilhelm Bürkart, signed as Surety by Mathis Bürkart (mining entrepre- neur) and as Chairman of the board of directors by Adolph Duncker. Adolph Duncker played an important role in financing the mining industry in the Rhine Province. He also played a major role in financing the mining in the Ruhr area. The certificate is transferred on back to Carl Brandt and signed by Brandt and Joseph Wilehlm Bürkart. According to our research only the shares with the numbers 464, 465, 467 and 469 were offered on auctions. Rarity from an old collection, R10! The company was incorporated on 24 August 1862. It was designed for duration of 30 years. The basis of the company was a remarkable deposit of iron, lead, copper and zinc ore in the area of Koblenz. The area was developed by many companies at that time. Most likely the company was not successful, because the complete coupon sheet is preserved. Adolph Duncker spielte in der Bergwerksfinanzierung der Rheinprovinz und später auch in der Finanzierung des Ruhrbergbaus eine bedeutende Rolle. Rückseitig übertragen auf Carl Brandt und von diesem sowie von Joseph Wilhelm Bürkart signiert. Nach unseren Recherchen sind nur die Nummern 464, 465, 467 und 469 auf Auktionen angeboten worden. Rarität aus einer alten Sammlung, R10! Das Unternehmen wurde durch notariellen Vertrag vom 24. August 1862 gegründet. Die Gesellschaft war auf eine Dauer von 30 Jahren angelegt. Basis der Firma sollten die bemerkenswerten Eisen-, Blei-, Kupfer- und Zinkerzvorkommen in der Gegend von Koblenz sein. Dieses Gebiet wurde seinerzeit von vielen Gruben erschlossen.
