The only certificate we know, R12! The King’s German Legion was a British Army unit of mostly expatriate German personnel during the period 1803 – 1816. The Legion achieved the distinction of being the only German force to fight without interruption against the French during the Napoleonic Wars. Under command of Major Konrad Ludwig Georg Baring the Legion defended the farmhouse La Haye Sainte in the Battle of Waterloo. The farmhouse played an important role in the battle, and saved Wellington the victory against Napoleons troops. Seit Jahren ist nur dieses eine Exemplar bekannt, R12! Die King’s German Legion war ein deutscher militärischer Großverband in britischen Diensten. Sie bestand in der Zeit der napoleoni- schen Kriege von 1803 bis 1816. Sie gilt als der einzige deutsche Verband, der während der gesamten Zeit der französischen Besetzung der deutschen Staaten gegen die französischen Truppen gekämpft hat. Unter dem Kommando von Major Konrad Ludwig Georg Baring verteidigte die Truppe den Bauernhof La Haye Sainte, der in der Schlacht von Waterloo eine wichtige Rolle spielte.
