The company was formed together with photographer Milton Greene in December 1954, after Marilyn Monroe completed „The Seven Year Itch“. The company had 101 shares of stock, Marilyn controlled 51 shares, and Greene retained the remaining 50 shares. Marilyn’s part was to star in the films selected by the company, while Greene was to conduct all of the business and pay the bills. The relationship between Marilyn Monroe and Milton Greene deteriorated step by step, because Arthur Miller, Marilyn’s husband, wanted to be involved in the professional projects of his wife. In April 1957, when the Special Meeting of Stockholders was held, and „The Prince and the Showgirl“ was released, Monroe claimed that Greene had badly ran the company.
