История (немецкий)
 Die Bahn wurde bereits 1839 konzessioniert und bereits 1840 wurde die Strecke Raleigh - Gaston eröffnet. Nach einer Reorganisation im Jahr 1851 wurde die Linie ein Jahr später bis Weldon verlängert. 1900 fusionierte die Gesellschaft mit der Seaboard Air Line Railroad Company und wurde später damit Teil des Southern-Railway-Systems.

 The line got its concession already in 1839, and opened the line Raleigh - Gaston one year later. The company was reorganised in 1851, and the line was prolonged to Weldon one year later. The company merged with the Seaboard Air Line Railroad Company. It became part of the Southern-Railway-System later.
