 Eine extrem frühe Finanzinnovation: Dieses Zertifikat war Teil einer Anleihe für den Bau der Eisenbahn von Puerto Caballos zur Bucht von Fonseca und separat von der Anleihe handelbar. Um den Absatz der Anleihen anzukurbeln, erhielten die Gläubiger neben der regulären Anleihe diese Zertifikate. Sie versprachen dem Inhaber einen Anteil am Gewinn der Eisenbahn. Die Zahlungen sollten nach der vollständigen Rückzahlung der Anleihe beginnen und sich über 15 Jahre erstrecken.

 A very early financial innovation: the certificate was part of a bond for the building of a railway from Puerto Caballos to the bay of Fonseca. It was tradable separately from the bond and it was issued to promote the sale of the bond. The certificate promised the holder a part of the profit of the railway. The payments should start after the bond was completely paid back and should last for 15 years.
