История (немецкий)
 Die Gesellschaft wurde 1896 für den Betrieb der Straßenbahnen in Beirut konzessioniert. Beirut gehörte damals noch zum Osmanischen Reich. Die Geschäfte wurden 1906 von der neu gegründeten Société Anonyme Ottomane des Tramways et de l'Electrcité de Beyrouth übernommen.

 The company was licensed for the operation of the tramway line Beirut – Maneltein. At the time Beirut, the present capital of Lebanon, as well as Syria were part of the Ottoman Empire.
