 Ursprünglich hielt eine britische Gesellschaft die Konzession für sämtliche Dienstleistungen, die Wasser und Abwasser betreffen. Im Zuge der ägyptischen Revolution übernahm die neue nationalistische Regierung alle ausländischen Firmen. In Folge dessen wurde diese neue Gesellschaft gegründet, um die Konzession zu übernehmen.

 Initially a British company held the concession for water and sewerage services in Alexandria until the Egyptian revolution. Then the new nationalist government took over all foreign companies in Egypt, so this new company was formed to take over the concession.
