David N. Mosessohn was born in the Russian city of Ekaterinoslav (today: Dnipropetrovsk in Ukraine) in 1883. After the family immigrated to the USA his father, a rabbi, founded and edited "The Jewish Tribune" in Portland, Oregon. Even there David began a law practice after graduating at the University of Oregon in 1902. Since then he continued publishing "The Jewish Tribune", even after he moved to New York in 1918. The newspaper, being the only Jewish paper in the Pacific Northwest for a long time, merged with "The Hebrew Standard" to form "Jewish Tribune and Hebrew Standard" in December 1922 - just a few month after this bond was issued. Mosessohn continued with becoming editor in 1927. Further he was Executive Director of Associated Dress Industries of America (1918-1923) and Executive Chairman of Pacific Lodge No. 233 (from 1923). Mosessohn died in 1930.
