Histoire (Allemand)
 Die Bahn wurde 1867 unter dem Namen Agricultural Branch Rail Road gegründet und firmierte ab 1869 als Boston, Clinton & Fitchburg Railroad. 1876 kam es zum Zusammenschluss mit der New Bedford Railroad. Die Hauptstrecke führte von Fitchburg nach New Bedford und war 91 Meilen lang. Das gesamte Netz umfasste 152 Meilen. 1879 pachtete die Old Colony Railroad die Strecke.
